UK CVs often run 2 pages; trim to 1-2 pages, prioritizing last 10 years
What we remove for US format
Common on United Kingdom CVs, but never on US resumes:
- Photo
- Date Of Birth
- Marital Status
- Nationality
- Religion
- Id Numbers

Layout fixes we apply
- Remove 'Curriculum Vitae' header at top — replace with name + role
- Remove personal details section (photo, DOB, marital status, nationality, ID, etc.)
- Remove 'References available on request' line
- Convert DD/MM/YYYY dates to Month YYYY format
- Keep UK city names (e.g. London, Manchester) — do NOT invent a US address
- Keep UK phone numbers in international format (+44 7XXX XXX XXX)
- Convert degree classifications (1st, 2:1, 2:2, 3rd) to approximate GPA ranges with a note
- A-Levels: only list if user is a recent grad (<3 years experience)

- Why does my United Kingdom job title show as a different US title?
- Title translation is a suggestion based on country conventions — never an auto-upgrade. Review the suggestion and pick what matches your actual role.
- How do I download as PDF?
